The agency reported that Tadic spoke on the telephone with Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic, the leader of the bloc supporting the state union with Serbia, Predrag Bulatovic, and the European Union's special envoy for the referendum, Miroslav Lajcak.
According to the agency report, Tadic said that Serbia was waiting for the official referendum results, to be made public by the Montenegrin Referendum Commission and confirmed by the European Union.
Contrary to announcements, neither Tadic nor Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica addressed the public on the occasion of the referendum, at which more than 55 percent of the electorate voted for independence.
In a statement for Television B92 this evening, Montenegrin PM Milo Djukanovic described Serbia's behaviour as "bad continuity of its policy towards its neighbours".
