The meeting with the chairman of the Committee on European Integration, Neven Mimica, focused on the methods of work of the Slovak committee and experiences related to the EU. The head of the Slovak delegation, Klara Sarkozy, said she was satisfied with the continuation of dialogue between the two committees which started last year in Bratislava.
Speaking about Slovakia's experience following admission to the EU, Sarkozy said that Slovak citizens had an extremely positive opinion about EU membership two years after the country's admission and that fears about a rise in prices did not materialise.
The Slovak delegation and members of the Committee on Foreign Policy, led by chairman Gordan Jandrokovic, discussed negotiations on EU membership and admission to NATO.
