ZAGREB, April 24 (Hina) - The visiting Czech Prime Minister Jiri Paroubek said during talks with Croatian Parliament Speaker Vladimir Seks in Zagreb on Monday that Croatia's accession talks with the European Union should be separated from Turkey's because of "different dynamics."

According to a statement issued by the Croatian Parliament's Public Relations Office, Paroubek expressed his conviction that Croatia could join the European Union as a full member no later than the first half of 2009 during the Czech presidency of the bloc.

Seks highlighted the role of the Croatian Parliament in the process of adjustment of Croatian legislation to that of the EU and in the supervision of the EU membership talks.

Describing the cooperation between the Croatian and Czech parliaments as excellent, Seks said that such cooperation should continue in order to prepare Croatia better for EU membership.
