Among other things, the Church seeks about 1,700 acres of land in Dalj, Borovo, and Bijelo Brdo, and a building in Dalj which it would like to turn into a museum of sacral art, said the episcope.
He appealed to the prefect to help in the property restitution and to financially assist the completion of the eparchy home in Dalj, which this year marks its 300th anniversary.
Bubalo said the county helped in the reconstruction of both Catholic and Serb Orthodox churches and that about 1.5 million kuna was invested in the renovation of Serb Orthodox facilities in the past two years.
The prefect said property restitution was dealt on the state level but that the county would help in this too. He also underlined the importance of ecumenical dialogue, which he said was appropriate in Osijek-Baranja County.
