Members of the EU task force said the bloc was satisfied with the screening process and that it had been receiving reports on Croatia's preparedness, the Croatian Parliament's press office said in a statement.
The visit of the EU task force is aimed at getting acquainted with Croatia's foreign policy and the country's negotiating process.
"We are aware that the pace and quality of the negotiations depends on Croatia," Racan said, adding that it was equally important to prepare Croatia's negotiating standpoint and define the country's strategic objectives.
Mimica stressed the importance of informing the public of European institutions and the EU, as well as of the the negotiating and joining process, He expressed conviction that at the end, the Croatian public would not be an obstacle to the country's joining the bloc.
Racan said Croatia was not satisfied with the percentage of the public support, stressing that one of the reason for a poor public support was insufficient work of state institutions aimed at bringing topics concerning joining the EU closer to the public.
The officials also exchanged opinions about some topics of the negotiations, including the issue of allowing foreigners to buy property in Croatia, the statement said.
