The zone, in which the town authorities, the Croatian Economy Ministry and the Fund for the Reconstruction and Development of Vukovar invested 7.5 million kuna (approx. one million euros), was officially opened on Vukovar Day, which this formerly war-stricken town celebrates on the day of its patron-saints, Sts Philip and James, May 3. Mayor Tomislav Sota said the zone would employ at least 160 workers.
On this occasion, the premier pledged further assistance to the town for all other economic projects.
