BANJA LUKA, April 4 (Hina) - The president of the Bosnian Serb entity, Dragan Cavic, and Republika Srpska Prime Minister and Parliament Speaker, Igor Radojicic and Milorad Dodik respectively, said on Tuesday they would demand the Bosnia-Herzegovina Constitutional Court to examine its decision declaring Republika Srpska's symbols unconstitutional.

Bosnia's Constitutional Court last week adopted a decision declaring the symbols of both Bosnian entities, namely coats of arms, flags and anthems, unconstitutional because it established that members of the majority people in the entities are in a privileged position. The Court also decided that the parliaments of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Republika Srpska must adjust their laws on symbols to the Constitution.

Republika Srpska top officials agreed at their meeting today that vital interests of the Bosnian Serb entity must be protected and decided to ask the Constitutional Court to re-examine its decision.
