MOSTAR, March 15 (Hina) - The association of Bosnian Croat war
veterans, whose acronym is HVIDRA Herceg-Bosne, has expressed dissatisfaction
with the ICTY decision to sentence two Bosnian Muslim army officers Enver
Hadzihasanovic and Amir Kubura to five, and two and a half years in prison
respectively. The International Criminal Tribunal for the former
Yugoslavia (ICTY) on Wednesday convicted Hadzihasanovic and Kubura for war
crimes committed against Bosnian Croats and Serbs during the 1992-1995 war in
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The head of the war veteran association, Andjelko Barun, on Wednesday
evening condemned the ruling as 'pathetic', saying that it belittled the Croat
victims of the Muslim-Croat war in central Bosnia.
