Transport Ministry State Secretary Tomislav Mihotic said that the proposed legislation would lead to the efficient management and maintenance of public roads. It will also facilitate the further decentralisation of road management in cities and in county seats.
The draft act precisely defines special transport, introduces the category of excessive road use, and brings order into the registration of roads in land books.
There are a total of 29,546.9 kilometres of public roads in Croatia, including 1,562.6 kilometres of motorways.
