Participants concluded that it is necessary to complete the reconstruction of houses and invest more in the swift economic development of formerly war-struck areas.
In recent years Croatia has invested 15.2 billion kuna in those areas and the reconstruction of houses is expected to be completed by the end of this or early next year, Damir Spancic, a state secretary at the ministry, said after the meeting.
UN High Commissioner for Refugees and Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe representatives said they were satisfied with the Croatian government's cooperation in the settlement of the return issue.
Participants also addressed accommodation for former tenancy rights holders, the implementation of the Sarajevo Declaration, property restitution, and the economy in areas of special state interest.
