ZAGREB, Jan 23 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic and Prime Minister Ivo Sanader sent letters to the authorities in Podgorica on Monday evening extending their condolences on a tragic railway accident which took place near the Montenegrin capital earlier today.

Mesic sent letters to the president of Serbia and Montenegro Svetozar Marovic and Montenegrin President Filip Vijanovic, while Sanader sent a letter to his Montenegrin Counterpart Milo Djukanovic,

At least three people were killed and over 100 were injured when a Montenegro passenger train jumped the tracks near the capital Podgorica on Monday. The local passenger train going from the northern city of Bijelo Polje to (the port city of) Bar derailed at Bioce, some 10 kilometres north of Podgorica. Four wagons had jumped the tracks in a canyon of the Moraca river.
