International warrant for Kapetan Dragan's arrest issued

ZAGREB, Jan 11 (Hina) - The Croatian Interior Ministry has issued an international warrant for the arrest of war crimes suspect Dragan Vasiljkovic, also known as Kapetan Dragan.

The warrant for the arrest of Vasiljkovic, a commander of Serb paramilitary units in Croatia in the early 1990s suspected of war crimes against prisoners of war and civilians, has been sent to the Interpol headquarters in Lyon, the ministry spokesman, Zlatko Mehun, told Hina on Wednesday afternoon.

The ministry also sent the arrest warrant to Australia where Vasiljkovic lives.
