The material and all the information that was gathered will be forwarded to the investigating judge, Borovac told Hina by telephone.
Police carried out the raid after journalist Domagoj Margetic announced that he would play in the HVIDRA offices the recording of testimony given before the Hague war crimes tribunal by President Stjepan Mesic in his capacity as a protected witness.
Margetic was arrested on the premises and taken to a police station for questioning around 8 p.m. on Monday. He was released after the interview shortly before midnight, Borovac said.
The head of the HVIDRA Zagreb branch, Ivan Pandza, and member Ante Jurendic, were also arrested during the raid. They were taken to another police station for questioning and were released two hours later.
Borovac said that the police used force in making the arrests, but that it was justified and done in accordance with the law.
Margetic was arrested following an order by the investigating judge after the Hague tribunal demanded that he should be stopped from publicly disclosing Mesic's testimony in full or in part.
Earlier on Tuesday, Pandza said that he had asked the police officers to show him a search warrant, which they did not, and that they had taken him out and beaten him up for now reason.
According to HVIDRA, Jurendic was beaten up as he tried to help Pandza.
Borovec said that the police did not need a special warrant to search HVIDRA's premises because the investigating judge ordered them to take whatever steps were necessary to prevent the publication of the testimony, without specifying the location where such action was to be taken.
