The event was organised by the youth organisation of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party in cooperation with the Hrvatski Drzavni Zavjet foundation.
The convention gathered more than 100 young men and women, aged 18-30, from 18 countries from every continent, who were all born abroad.
A state secretary at the Foreign Ministry, Marija Pejcinovic Puric, addressed them on Friday, calling on them to return to Croatia and help its development with their knowledge.
Assistant Science and Education Minister Radovan Fuchs briefed them about possibilities of pursuing their education or scientific work in Croatia.
