PODGORICA, July 9 (Hina) - The Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Carla del Ponte, on Monday held talks with Montenegrin Prime Minister Zeljko Sturanovic whom she told that
Montenegro should get ready to conduct investigations and hold war crimes trials in the coming period.
PODGORICA, July 9 (Hina) - The Chief Prosecutor of the
International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Carla del
Ponte, on Monday held talks with Montenegrin Prime Minister Zeljko Sturanovic
whom she told that Montenegro should get ready to conduct investigations and
hold war crimes trials in the coming period. Del Ponte stressed it
was necessary to draw up a special action plan for joint activities of the
competent bodies and services of the countries in the region with an aim to
carry out coordinated activities to locate and arrest war crimes indictees.
Prime Minister Sturanovic underlined his country's commitment to
continue full cooperation with the Hague tribunal.
