"We call on the state leadership and other parties which were part of the previous government and did nothing, to endorse the bill instead of scoring cheap points in the Croatian Privatisation Fund (HFP) situation," Pero Kovacevic told reporters in parliament after the recent arrest of a number of senior HFP officials for corruption.
He recalled that the State Audit Office had found that 95.17% privatisation processes had been unlawful.
Kovacevic said the HSP wanted all unlawful privatisation processes to be declared void, adding that this did not call for changing the Constitution.
He recalled that last September 13, the president, the parliament speaker and the prime minister claimed that privatisation audits had fulfilled their purpose and that no further action was necessary.
He said the recent arrests indicated not only that unlawful activities had not been punished but that the plunder continued.
Tonci Tadic called for combing every privatisation process and establishing capital flows.
