VOJNIC, June 19 (Hina) - Trade between Croatia and Serbia in the
first four months of 2007 was 47 percent higher than in the same period last
year, Serbian Ambassador to Croatia Radivoj Cveticanin said on Tuesday during a
visit of a delegation of the Vojvodina government to Vojnic, some 70
kilometres southeast of Zagreb. Cveticanin said that bilateral trade
could amount to USD 700-800 million this year, with experts claiming that
there was still room for improvement.
The delegation from Vojvodina yesterday visited four municipalities in
Lika-Senj County, and today they toured three municipalities and the Gomirje
Orthodox monastery in Karlovac County.
The purpose of the visit is to establish cooperation between the two
Croatian counties and the northern Serbian province, particularly between their
least developed municipalities, the head of the delegation, Danijel Petrovic,
said.
