Names of eight Privatisation Fund officials arrested for corruption revealed

ZAGREB, June 18 (Hina) - Zagreb County Court investigating judge Boris Ivancic on Monday interviewed six Croatian Privatisation Fund (HFP) officials suspected of taking one million euros in bribes - Josip Matanovic, Robert Pesa, Ivan Gotovac, Igor Petlevski, Asja Piplovic and Mladen Jandricek, court spokesman Kresimir Devcic said.
ZAGREB, June 18 (Hina) - Zagreb County Court investigating judge Boris Ivancic on Monday interviewed six Croatian Privatisation Fund (HFP) officials suspected of taking one million euros in bribes - Josip Matanovic, Robert Pesa, Ivan Gotovac, Igor Petlevski, Asja Piplovic and Mladen Jandricek, court spokesman Kresimir Devcic said.

Of the six officials arrested on Saturday, attorney Juraj Parazajder was not questioned today because he felt sick and is in the hospital, Devcic told Hina, adding that Petlevski was the seventh suspect arrested around 11 pm on Sunday as he was returning from Dubrovnik by plane.

Devcic said there was an eighth suspect at large, Svjetlan Stanic.

Matanovic, Pesa and Gotovac are HFP vice presidents. According to the media, Petlevski is in charge of real estate sales, while Piplovic is an attorney who mediated for people from the HFP with her associate Jandricek.

After they are questioned, the State Prosecutor's Office will suggest custody of up to 48 hours, during which time the Office must request an investigation and detention, to be decided by the Zagreb County Court.
