Rozic asked the PM why the government had not filed a complaint with the UN security Council over the work of the ICTY Prosecutor's Office and its indictments alleging that former Croatian military and political leaders, headed by the late President Franjo Tudjman, had entered into a joint criminal enterprise with the aim of expelling Serbs.
"I am happy to hear that today, after Tudjman's death, you have such a positive opinion about him, although you were his fierce opponent while he was at the helm of the country," Sanader told the HSP deputy, adding that Rozic's .words were "an attempt to virtually and artificially pit the present Croatian Democratic Union against Tudjman."
Deputy Dragutin Lesar of the Croatian People's Party (HNS) told the PM today that parliament had committed the government to revising the budget before the summer recess and securing funds for the application of the Ecological and Fisheries Protection Zone (ZERP) as of 1 January 2008.
Sanader told him that a draft budget revision was under way and that it would be sent to parliament after it undergoes a government procedure.
The PM also said in parliament today that his cabinet had no intention of revoking the regulation regarding zero tolerance blood alcohol content.
During today's Question Time, deputy Ivica Pancic of the Social Democrats (SDP) stressed that the cost of construction of the dual carriageway between Zagreb and the northern Adriatic city of Rijeka went up from 209 million to 248 million euros because of corruption.
"Our discussions in the past have proved that arguments and facts mean absolutely nothing to you, and that you have instructions from your party to lie and sling mud at the government in order to diminish its success in road construction," Transport Minister Bozidar Kalmeta told Pancic.
