Topic gave Sanader a medallion as a sign of gratitude, and the premier pledged the provision of a student hostel for Napredak within the former Borongaj barracks in Zagreb.
He said that serious consideration would be given to the idea of officially including in Croatia's state budget the assistance being given to Napredak given that the society had institutions and activities in Croatia as well. He announced that the Croatian government would also help the Napredak centre in Sarajevo.
Sanader also thanked Napredak for everything it was doing for Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina. "Napredak preserves Croatian roots, the Croatian identity, the Croatian national being in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but is open to other nationalities as well," he said.
