"For years Croatia has been registering one of the lowest inflation rates among European transition countries. Last year that rate was 3.2 per cent, which is only 0.3 percentage points above the inflation rate in the EU 12," Vukelic said.
Vukelic added that "the decline in inflation is a clear indicator of economic recovery and a sound economic climate which creates an atmosphere of trust and security for potential investors."
Upper Austria, whose Chamber of Commerce co-organised the Croatian Business Day, has a population of 1.6 million, but produces 70 per cent of all Austrian industrial products intended for export. Many entrepreneurs in the province have shown great interest in doing business with Croatian companies.
