Seks said at the Vukovar City Council session on Thursday that an agreement to this effect was reached this morning at a meeting attended by Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and ministers in Zagreb. The agreement refers to some 5,500 apartments that Vukovar residents were not able to buy while they were displaced during the war.
Speaking at the City Council session, Mayor Zdenka Buljan said that just as it won in the Homeland War, Vukovar must win the other battels on the economic and all other fronts leading to a better future.
The session was also attended by Apostolic Nuncio in Croatia, Francisco-Javier Lozano, Djakovo and Srijem Diocese Bishop Marin Srakic, Vukovar Srijem Prefect Bozo Galic, and others.
