ZAGREB, April 23 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic sent a telegram to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Monday, extending his condolences on the death of former Russian President Boris Yeltsin.

telegram to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Monday, extending his
condolences on the death of former Russian President Boris Yeltsin.
"The name of Boris Yeltsin will remain inseparably associated with the time of
transformation of the Russian Federation into a pluralist, multi-party
society," Mesic wrote.
"Croatia will remember Boris Yeltsin as the person who was leading the
Russian Federation at the time when our two countries established diplomatic
relations," the telegram said.
Yeltsin died on Monday of heart failure. He was 76.
