Croatian inventors win three gold medals at Geneva exhibition

GENEVA, April 23 (Hina) - Three Croatian inventions won gold medals and garnered the most interest among business people at the 35th International Exhibition of Inventions, New Techniques and Products in Geneva, the Croatian Inventors Association said on Sunday.
GENEVA, April 23 (Hina) - Three Croatian inventions won gold medals and garnered the most interest among business people at the 35th International Exhibition of Inventions, New Techniques and Products in Geneva, the Croatian Inventors Association said on Sunday.

Ivan Jakobovic from Slavonski Brod won the gold for a biodiesel production line, Ivan Skulic from Rijeka for a new internal combustion engine, and the Karlovac-based Turbine Factory for a vacuum unit for the separation of gases in tankers. Croatian inventors presented a total of 17 inventions and also won several silver and bronze medals.

Their presentations were sponsored by the Ministry of the Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship and the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, and were organised by the Croatian Inventors Association and the Croatian Technical Culture Community.

The Geneva event, held on April 18-22, featured more than 700 exhibitors from 42 countries and more than 1,000 inventions. Croatian Inventors Day was held on Saturday.
