The county prosecutor's office today issued an indictment against Branimir Glavas, Ivica Krnjak, Gordana Getos Magdic, Mirko Sivic, Dino Kontic, Tihomir Valentic and Zdravko Dragic for war crimes committed against civilians in Osijek in 1991.
The prosecution requested that detention for six suspects be extended and that Branimir Glavas be taken into custody.
The six-month detention of Mirko Sivic expires this evening, while the detention of the others expires in the next few days.
Asked if police had received a warrant to arrest Glavas, Osijek Police Department spokeswoman Edita Roterbauer said this evening that the police had not received any warrant, and if they did, they would act in accordance with it.
Appeals against the extension or imposition of detention do not stay the court's decision.
