ZAGREB, April 4 (Hina) - The primate of the Catholic Church in
Croatia, Cardinal Josip Bozanic, on Wednesday issued an Easter message wishing
that "the crucified and resurrected Jesus may give people the strength of new
hope, love and felicity of the Holy Spirit". "Whenever we face
challenges in society, let us try and look at them through the eyes of the
Resurrection," Bozanic said, adding that acts of nonacceptance of God pushed
society into moods imbued by indifference, selfishness, lethargy and fear.
The Zagreb Archbishop also called on believers to be more active not
only in parishes but also in the entire society.
He also criticised "the present-day trivialization of the truth" and
the ideology of consumerism, among other things.
