I can confirm the United States' support for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Europe and in the undivided Transatlantic community, Fried told reporters after meeting members of the country's collective presidency.
The US official said a full agreement had been reached with the three presidency members that Bosnia and Herzegovina should take further steps to get closer to the EU.
He did not specify the steps that should be taken, but it is known that at the moment the EU gives priority to police reform. Announcing Fried's official visit, local media speculated that one of the topics discussed would be the need for constitution reform.
Later on, Fried was due to address the Bosnian Parliament.
