A decision to approve the signing of the agreement was made with a majority vote, the government said in a statement.
Local media said that Bosniak ministers Tarik Sadovic and Safet Halilovic were against the agreement. Their parties object to the signing of bilateral dual citizenship agreements and ask that this issue be regulated with a law that would enable all Bosnian citizens to acquire dual citizenship without special restrictions.
The collective state presidency now has to take a position on the dual citizenship agreement with Croatia and if it approves the document, the agreement is expected to be signed during Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader's visit to Sarajevo later next week.
