Sutlic will take up office on April 1 and will be acting director-general for six months at most or until the election of a new director-general of the national broadcasting company.
The Programmes Council also invited applications for the post of new director-general after none of the 11 candidates managed to get the necessary two-thirds majority vote on Monday.
The agenda of today's session was amended to include a debate on the Council's work concerning the election of the new director and a debate on the majority vote required to elect the acting general-director. Council members Hasim Bahtijari, Suzana Jasic, Danko Bljajic and Darinka Janjanin walked out of the session for different reasons.
Bljajic and Janjanin left after it became clear that the acting director could be elected with six votes, instead of with the two-thirds majority as previously stated.
Bljajic, whose dismissal the Council requested from the Parliament, and Janjanin announced that they would resigned from their posts.
