ZAGREB, March 28 (Hina) - A two-day working meeting of political directors of SEECP member countries, chaired by state secretary for political issues in the Croatian Foreign Ministry Hido Biscevic, ended in Zagreb on Wednesday, the Croatian Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry said in a statement.

The SEECP political directors talked about the situation in the region, issues concerning the exit strategy for the Stability Pact for Southeast Europe, future developments in Southeast Europe with an emphasis on Euro-Atlantic integration processes, and the role of SEECP as a political forum that will assume the leading role in regional cooperation in Southeast Europe, the statement said.

Special attention was attached to concrete forms of future strengthening of regional ownership over regional cooperation in Southeast Europe. The political directors also discussed political and legal documents that are expected to be adopted at a meeting of the presidents and prime ministers of SEECP member states to be held in Zagreb on 11 May.

The meeting also focused on activities Croatia is expected to organise during its presidency of the organisation.

As part of Croatia's presidency of the SEECP, a meeting of justice and interior ministers of SEECP member states called "EU Standards and Rule of Law in Southeast Europe" will be held in Zagreb on 13 April, and the meeting of parliament speakers is scheduled for April 15 and 16. Croatia will end its presidency of the organisation with the summit on 11 May, the ministry said in a statement.
