The document was signed at the Police Directorate after Dutch and EUROPOL experts held a presentation for representatives of the Police Directorate, the Criminal Police Administration, the Office for the Suppression of Corruption and Organised Crime, the Customs Administration, the Tax Administration, and the Office for the Suppression of Money Laundering.
Those experts will define the practical aspects of the implementation of recommendations and guidelines together with representatives of the Criminal Police Administration's International Police Cooperation Division and its EUROPOL Department.
Croatia signed an agreement on operational cooperation with EUROPOL in Vienna early last year and the Croatian parliament ratified it on June 30. The agreement went into force on August 16.
Under the agreement, a national unit for cooperation with EUROPOL was set up - the EUROPOL Department within the Criminal Police Administration's International Police Cooperation Division.
