SARAJEVO, March 22 (Hina) - The parliament of the Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina on Thursday confirmed the appointment of the new government
of the Bosniak-Croat entity in accordance with results of October 1 general
elections. The Prime Minister of the 17-member cabinet is Nedzad
Brankovic of the (Bosniak) Party of Democratic Action (SDA).
The government was confirmed although the Office of the High
Representative (OHR) criticised it over the fact that background checks had not
been conducted yet for nominees for the ministers of justice, the interior,
education, finance and refugees' affairs.
