ZAGREB, March 6 (Hina) - The leaders of two coalition partners,
the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and the Social Liberals (HSLS), met at the
government on Tuesday to discuss cooperation which was assessed as good and
constructive, the government's public relations office said in a statement. The delegation of the ruling HDZ was led by party president, Prime
Minister Ivo Sanader, while HSLS delegation was led by party president Djurdja
Adlesic.
One of the issues discussed was membership of state officials in
supervisory committees of state companies and the two sides agreed specialised
professionals as well should be on the committees in the future. A round-table
debate on the matter will be organised in cooperation with the Zagreb School of
Economics.
The delegations also discussed foreign affairs, notably Croatia's
integration into the European Union and NATO.
