Istanbul Stock Exchange president Osman Birsen acquainted Suker with one of the largest stock exchanges in Eurasia and one of the 22 biggest in the world.
Suker informed his host of the merger of Croatia's Zagreb and Varazdin Stock Exchanges, underlining the importance of the national stock exchange being independent from the Finance Ministry.
Turkish entrepreneurs in DEIK were interested in developing joint projects with Croatia in shipbuilding, tourism and construction.
Suker said Croatia planned to privatise its shipyards after adopting and carrying out a plan for their restructuring.
He called on Turkish entrepreneurs to use the northern Adriatic port of Rijeka for a faster transport of cargo to Central Europe. He also called for investing in tourist capacities in continental Croatia.
Suker is heading a Finance Ministry delegation visiting Turkey on February 25-28 at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Kemal Unakitan.
