The meeting was held in a good atmosphere and an agreement was reached on inspection quotas for 2007. The results of two inspections carried out in the second half of 2006 and annual exchanges of information on the five main categories of arms possessed by the parties to the agreement - were approved, a statement from the meeting said.

Also discussed was the composition of inspection teams, the roles of assistants and visiting inspectors, the further reduction of armaments, and possibilities of updating the agreement.

It was agreed that the next meeting would again be held under Croatian presidency in the northern Adriatic resort town of Opatija in mid-March.
