Finance ministry issues government bonds worth 2.5 billion kuna

ZAGREB, Feb 8 (Hina) - The Croatian Finance Ministry on Thursday issued on the domestic market government bonds amounting to 2.5 billion kuna, the Privredna Banka Zagreb, one of the arrangers of the issue, reported.
ZAGREB, Feb 8 (Hina) - The Croatian Finance Ministry on Thursday issued on the domestic market government bonds amounting to 2.5 billion kuna, the Privredna Banka Zagreb, one of the arrangers of the issue, reported.

The maturity date of the government bonds is February 8, 2017, the annual interest rate is 4.750 percent, the issue yield is 4.91 percent, and the price of the issue is 98.748 percent.

The bonds will be listed on the Zagreb Stock Exchange and deposited in the Central Depository Agency.

The issue is almost entirely intended for domestic institutional investors.

The decision on the latest bond issue was made by the government in early February. Finance Minister Ivan Suker said at the time that the issue would be used to pay off the principal amount of foreign and domestic debts as well as for agricultural incentives.
