The players posed in the premises of their club wearing clothes by the world's top designers. The newspaper's fashion director, Bruce Pask, and photographer John Balsom, visited the southern Adriatic port of Split last August with the support of the Croatian National Tourist Board.
After Croatia's attractions inspired the US clothing company The Territory Ahead, which included photographs of Croatia in its spring catalogue and named its clothes after Croatia's tourist destinations, the latest combination of fashion, sports and tourism is likely to further boost Croatia's promotion in the US.
