SKOPJE, Feb 3 (Hina) - The Macedonian government supports UN
special envoy Martti Ahtisaari's proposal for Kosovo, Macedonian Prime Minister
Nikola Gruevski said after meeting Kosovo opposition politician Hashim Thaci
in Skopje on Saturday. Ahtisaari's plan, at least the parts of it
that were made known, is completely acceptable for Macedonia, the more so as it
envisages border delimitation between Macedonia and Kosovo within one year,
Gruevski said.
Thaci, a member of Kosovo's negotiating team, said that the position of
the Macedonian government was fair. Although he was representing Kosovo's
Opposition in Skopje, he said that border delimitation would be completed
within the envisaged time frame.
