Hina gets new director with new year

ZAGREB, Jan 1 (Hina) - Smiljana Skugor Hrncevic took over the post of the director of the Croatian national news agency Hina on 1 January.

In this post, the 44-year-old Skugor Hrncevic has succeeded Mirko Bolfek, a long-standing chief editor and director of the news agency. Bolfek is to assume an ambassadorial post.

Before she was appointed by the Hina Governing Council in October 2006 as the new director of Hina, Skugor Hrncevic was the editor of the general news department in the agency.
