The document envisages cooperation in a five-year research project on the identification of risks of landslides, to be financed by the Japanese government in the amount of EUR 4 million.
The project will be carried out by universities in Split, Zagreb and Rijeka, with the Japanese side providing equipment and financing the training of Croatian scientists.
Present at the Split ceremony were Croatian Science and Education Minister Dragan Primorac and Japan's Ambassador to Croatia, Tetsuhiso Shirakawa.
