ZAGREB, March 26 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament will on Monday consider the government's motion for the revision of this year's budget, and the highest legislative body is expected to adopt the revision next Friday, Deputy Speaker Vladimir Seks said on Thursday.

The government on Wednesday moved the 2009 budget revision under which revenues would be cut from HRK 124 billion to 116 billion and expenses from HRK 126.9 billion to 121.5 billion.

Next week, the parliament is expected to elect three new Constitutional Court judges and this item is added to the extended agenda of the ongoing session.

Earlier on Thursday, all parliamentary benches supported draft amendments to laws stipulating stricter criteria for pensions to be granted to members of parliament.

The draft amendments, moved by the government, envisage that MPs can retire with a full pension with 25 years of service instead of 20 years, and they have to be MPs throughout the entire four-year term.

Male MPs can retire at the age of 60, and the retirement age for female MPs will be 55.

The new amendments should take effect after the constitution of the next parliament.
