Environment and Nature Protection Minister Mihael Zmajlovic and AZO director Neven Voca also launched the WEB GIS browser, which enables CORINE searches.
Zmajlovic said CORINE "is a tool that will serve citizens, the business sector and state administration bodies. The platform will benefit all who plan and make strategies."
The data base, which makes it possible to follow the changes that have occurred on Croatian soil since 1980, was compiled under European standards and makes it possible to exchange data with European countries.
Zmajlovic said it was free to use for all institutions and citizens.
CORINE contains data on 2.3 million square kilometres of land from high resolution satellite images important for the agriculture, construction, transport and infrastructure sectors.
