ZAGREB, Nov 26
(Hina) - The Croatian People's Party (HNS), a junior
partner in the ruling coalition, continues to be opposed to the plan
by Finance Minister Slavko Linic to impose a real estate tax on the
rich in order to ease the burden on the industrial sector and poor
workers, while the strongest opposition party, the Croatian Democratic
Union (HDZ) says such a move would be the biggest blow to society in
the history of the Croatian state.
