Croatia scored 48 points on the Nielsen Global Consumer Confidence Index, like Greece, and is near the bottom of the rankings, but it improved three points in comparison to the second quarter.
Points below 100 indicate that consumer confidence is relatively poor.
Among Croatia's neighbours, Italy and Slovenia scored 47 points each, while Hungary scored 45 with the most pessimistic consumers globally.
Slovenia and Serbia were included in the ranking for the first time, scoring 47 and 56 points respectively.
Nielsen conducted the survey among more than 30,000 consumers on 60 markets from August 14 to September 6.
