She made a two-day visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, meeting with Presidency member Nebojsa Radmanovic, Council of Ministers Chairman Vjekoslav Bevanda, and Defence Ministry leaders.
According to a statement after the meeting with Defence Minister Zekerijah Osmic, Grabar-Kitarovic said it was important that Bosnia showed unity and political will to deal with the allocation of military property.
She reiterated that this was a prerequisite for the enforcement of the Membership Action Plan.
At NATO's request, military property should be registered as belonging to the state Defence Ministry and Armed Forces. However, the authorities of the Bosnian Serb entity want the property to be registered together with other state property that Bosnia inherited after the break-up of Socialist Yugoslavia.
