At the beginning of a two-day visit to Serbia, Lovric met with his Serbian counterpart Ljubisa Dikovic for talks on military cooperation.
"As a member of NATO and the European Union, Croatia strongly supports Serbia's European integration process and we are willing to share all our knowledge and the experience we have gained," said Lovric.
Dikovic said Serbia and Croatia had a good military cooperation but that there was room to improve it, adding that he and Lovric would discuss how to do it. "I hope such military cooperation and the understanding that exists will contribute to the solving of all contentious issues."
Dikovic said the goal of the cooperation was to improve and preserve security in the region.
Lovric recalled that this year the Serbian and Croatian militaries had 15 joint activities, including the "Immediate Response" exercise, which he said would be organised with Slovenia in the next three years.
"We believe the two armies can ensure peace and stability in the region but that we will also be able to test our capabilities in peace operations around the world," said Lovric.
This is his first official to Serbia. He is scheduled to visit the Military Academy and talk with Defence Ministry officials.
