Sixty-five of the 84 warrants are valid, while 19 refer to crimes committed before 2002, so police will not act on them, Police Director Vlado Dominic told reporters.
Among those 19 is an EAW for former Yugoslav service secret agent Josip Perkovic, which arrived on Monday. He is wanted in Germany for the murder of Croatian immigrant Stjepan Djurekovic in Bavaria in 1983.
The police and the State Prosecutor's Office held a meeting yesterday at which it was said that it was not possible to re-examine the EAW but that the person in question should be brought in, after which an investigating judge would decide on the extradition.
