Representatives of Italian, Slovenian and Croatian unions met on Thursday, asking Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta not to impose the two-year moratorium. Only two regions, Veneto and Lombardy, have spoken in favour of the moratorium.
Responding to a query from Hina, the Italian Embassy said it had still not received a note from the relevant Italian bodies about possible restrictions on the employment of Croatians in Italy after Croatia's EU entry, and that it would release any information on the matter.
