The event will be opened by European Union Committee on Culture and Education chair Doris Pack.
The festival will open with French director Philippe Lioret's "Welcome" and close with Italian director Andrea Segre's "Shun Li and the Poet".
The European Parliament has been presenting the LUX award since 2007 to prompt public discussion on the EU and its policy as well as to support co-productions within the Union. The basic goal of the award, which is presented every November, is to promote creativity and diversity.
Croatian films will be eligible for the award as of July 1, when Croatia joins the EU.
