The conference was organised by Culturelink/The Institute for Development and International Relations and the Miko Tripalo Centre for Democracy and Law, in cooperation with UNESCO's Venice Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe.
Croatia is one of the signatories of the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.
Asked by the press how to develop mechanisms to apply the Convention, the head of the Venice Regional Bureau, Anthony Krause, said every country should have a cultural policy that encouraged the development of a cultural market for a quality culture.
